Step onto 40 acres of my private, desert campground, featuring impeccable mountain views and dark, starry night skies.

You can see the Great Sand Dunes National Park in the distance from most every campsite!!

Capturing a full rainbow is typical to see after a summer rain storm.

Bring your binoculars; occasionally you can spot an Elk herd.

On a clear night, the sky allows the best views of the Milky Way and most EVERY star in the galaxy!

Come explore the San Luis Valley and book a stay today!!!

***During summer months, make sure to pack bug spray, maybe a screen house, a canopy you can nail down well (it gets windy).

"Extremely beautiful campsite that is super remote and well-maintained. Definitely remember to bundle up because the nights get a little cold. Great place for some astrophotography! Highly recommend."

Spectacular Views

This is our second time here, the first was about a year ago. It was great again, as expected! The views are beautiful, and you can't beat the night sky star gazing. We stayed at RV site 1, which was a shared hookup with site 2, there was a splitter for the hose and available upon request for the electric. We didn't need it since we used the 30 Amp and the RV next to us used the 50. Will definitely come back again!

Quiet, clean, and peaceful!  A gem.

Amazing stay! Directions to the site were spot on. Plus, we found they had a pinned address on Google maps and Apple Maps. Check in was easy, Sites well marked. The entire campsite was well thought out. We used RV site 4, Which had water and electric hook up. We took a walk around. Every site was clean, separated from neighbors, fire pit, picnic table, and with a ports potty nearby. and with $1 million view. Did I say million dollar view? It was quiet, clean, lovely.

I had such an amazing experience here! Very attentive and welcoming hosts (they also offer firewood if needed). Felt super safe, while camping, as a solo traveler. The night sky and morning views were the highlights of this spot! Would definitely come back and recommend :)

Amazing views and location.

Christine’s High Desert Ranch was an awesome camp spot. The view of the mountains is incredible and the sites were spaced out enough that we had a lot of privacy. The location is also really great for close hiking at Crestone, Sand Dunes National Park, San Isabel Creek, Soda Springs, Shirley, and many more. It’s also located within 20-30 mins of gas stations, convenience stores and a few coffee shops in case you need anything last minute for your trip. We brought our small dog with on the trip and she loved her little set up at camp, she gives it two paws up!

Christine was flexible with our evolving travel plans even before we even got to High Desert Ranch, which set a great tone for our reservation. When we arrived to the camp, the grounds were maintained. The stars at night and the view of the mountains in the morning were both spectacular! Would recommend staying at High Desert Ranch!
